Train & Earn (formerly the Out-of-School Youth Program) is a career pathways program for New York City residents that provides comprehensive job training and employment services, along with support services needed by participants to find a permanent job, obtain their high school equivalency if applicable, and access postsecondary education and training.

The QCC office of Continuing Education & Workforce Development offers a 5G Mobile Technician Program to fuel and support the growing profession of wireless infrastructure technicians. This program is designed to provide students with a broad knowledge of telecommunications maintenance and modifications necessary for entry‐level employment as a wireless telecommunications technician.

ANS’ Paul Fettuccia and Brooke Hastings, Recruiter visited the Queens campus to tour the training facility and meet with students of the program.

Paul shared the story of his career path in telecom and how the industry has evolved since his start as a field technician to his current position as President and CEO of ANS Advanced Network Services. He went into detail on the current stage of the 5G landscape and the part that ANS has taken in deploying the essential infrastructure across the United States. Paul and Brooke answered student questions about the company culture and career opportunities at ANS and provided insight for students beginning an internship as a first career step. ANS Advanced Network Services is proud and eager to take an active role in bridging the gap between education and employment to help develop a skilled workforce in the trades. Thank you to Rodney Shannon and Enrique Haro for inviting our team to visit and for partnering with ANS.
