In Building Wireless Technician – (Midwest / The Ohio State University)

Partnered with a fellow technician, the Senior Technician will be responsible for maintaining a large DAS and Public Safety system in multiple locations. (May require evening work)

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Maintain project documentation and reporting
  • Manage the project schedule to ensure the project milestones and deadlines are met
  • Manage projects to ensure the budgets are maintained
  • Develop customer relationships that may result in influencing customers to award service work to the client
  • Must be able to work on-call on week nights and weekends when scheduled
  • Responsible to problem solve issues that may occur onsite and make recommendations based on priority
  • Verifies service by testing equipment, and alarms; and identifying, correcting, or escalating problems
  • Maintains network by troubleshooting and repairing outages, testing network back-up procedures, and updating documentation
  • Ensure all work is completed in accordance with the client’s construction standards, processes, and procedures
  • Ensure accurate and complete files are maintained for projects and appropriate closeout documents are distributed in a timely manner and are in accordance with corporate and customer standards
  • Ensure that all jobs are maintained in a project tracking system with complete accuracy
  • Act as safety observer and Quality Assurance representative while at the site ensuring compliance with the client’s safety program and related workmanship practices
  • Knowledge of IDAS & ODAS Systems
  • Knowledge of Public Safety Systems
  • Familiar with DAS equipment (Corning One, Solid, and CommScope)

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
  • Must be able to go 50 feet in the air

Qualification Requirements:

  • Knowledge of IDAS & ODAS systems
  • Knowledge of DC power
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license
  • Must Pass Pre-hire Drug Screen, and background check
  • Must be able to travel 100%
  • Computer skills – Microsoft Office products
  • Operate a JLG
  • Excellent interpersonal skills , Professional demeanor


  • Required: High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Preferred: Associates degree or a graduate of a trade school



  • Three to five years in construction or Telecommunications
  • Strong computer literacy and working knowledge of Microsoft Office including Outlook, Excel, and Word
  • Must be able to read and comprehend drawings
  • Knowledge of PIM, Sweep, and OTDR testing best practices


  • Knowledge of VZWLS standards
  • OSHA 10/30 and CPR/First Aid Training Certificates
