Innovative Conduct in Computing and Internet Markets By Shane Greenstein. How has innovative and competitive behavior in computing and internet markets evolved over the past half century? This broad question does not and cannot have a simple answer for at least two reasons. First, the core determinants of behavior did not remain or stay constant over several decades. Second, commercial computing and Internet markets give rise to a variety of experiences that defy any single characterization... ... Read More >>

Dear Valued Customer;
Welcome to another edition of our monthly E-Newsletter. Your single source for information associated with the wire-line & wireless communications services industries.
The focus of the current edition is on the issues and trends in the wireless industry. In today's world where data is king, we would like to first frame our exploration through the historical economics lens of computing innovations offered by Professor Greenstein of the Kellogg School of Management. Following the "green" communcations trend, the second article by Mr. Vadgama of Fujitsu Labs provides industry view and research's perspective on green wireless technologies. Going against the established view of converging technologies, Dr. Lehr and Dr. Chapin of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) argued in their paper titled "On the Convergence of Wired and Wireless Access Network Architectures" that wireless and wired access will to evolve in two different diverging paths. We end with the paper prepared by the Congressional Research Service for wireless broadband recommendation, which focuses on competition, innovation, and regulations.
On a newsworthy note, ANS has recently been featured in the US Developer Journal's article titled "Opening Lines of Communication: ANS Advanced Network Services LLC". Through the ups and downs of the telecom industry, the ANS story spotlights how innovation in quality processes, strategic portfolio diversification, and--most of all--total commitment to valued added services for our customers can offer the path for continuing growth and success.
