Our detail engineers have completed projects from one cable to full central office buildouts. Our engineering staff is trained in developing complete and accurate bills of material, drawings, and specifications for all types of telecommunications equipment and in all types of mission-critical environments.

Capabilities

Since all of our projects are technical in nature, our Engineering Department is involved throughout the life of each project to ensure the success of each. During the course of a typical project, our engineers:

• Clearly define the project scope of work
• Refine material lists created during the site survey process
• Verify all cabling terminations in our clients' databases
• Create cable running lists and interconnect tables
• Create any appropriate drawings and plans:

   

  • Ironwork and cable rack
  • Front equipment bay drawings
  • Frame- and aisle-lighting plans
  • Grounding plans
  • Fiber protection plans
  • Power distribution plans
  • Floor plans

 

• Compile the applicable standard drawings and references
• Create a detailed job specification package for use by technicians
• Notify the client of all necessary EIU updates
• Create any scope-of-work and/or informational changeorders

Lead Engineers

Each ANS client gets the benefit of an experienced Lead Engineer that manages all of the engineering activity associated with the client's projects. The Lead Engineer:

• Serves as the client's engineering single point-of-contact
• Oversees all of the ANS quoting activity for the client
• Manages all engineering functions performed for the client
• Reviews all engineering project documentation prior to release to the client and the field staff
