ANS began in 1997 as the Network Services division of Telecommunications Analysis Group, Inc. The division was formed to help telephone companies and equipment manufacturers manage the network equipment deployment challenges they were experiencing in the wake of the Telecommunications Act of 1996.

As local telephone competition developed throughout the late-1990s, the need for communications infrastructure grew rapidly and the Network Services division was there to provide high-quality Engineer, Furnish and Install (EF&I) services to build and develop this infrastructure.

ANS, now a wholly-owned subsidiary of Telecommunications Analysis Group, continues to provide EF&I solutions to telephone companies and equipment manufacturers throughout the Eastern United States.
